Inspiration

Created especially for the Holiday Magic Gifts Blog Hop hosted by Green Fox Farms, the Everyone’s Everyday Ear Warmer crochet pattern is the perfect cozy, quick project for gifting. Of course, the ear warmer was inspired by the 4 other designs in the Everyone’s Everyday collection, and it also features one of my favorite stitches, the Interlocking Row Stitch.

If you need more inspiration for your winter wardrobe and love making sets as much as I do, then be sure to check out the other patterns in the Everyone’s Everyday collection.

Design Details

The ear warmer is designed with one of my favorite yarns, I Love This Yarn, a #4 worsted weight yarn and a 5.00 mm (H) hook. Surprisingly, you only need a little under 100 yards to make one ear warmer, and I can whip on up in about an hour. Like the beanie, it’s conveniently written in two sizes, Teen/Adult Small and a Medium size.

Crochet ear warmer pattern - black and gray

Also, this crochet pattern is really easy to customize with the endless color options that are available in worsted weight yarn. The ear warmer shown above is made with I Love This Yarn in Black and Cappadocia. I also used I Love This Yarn in Cream and Suede Shoes which is shown in the photo at the beginning of the article.

Several of these yarns can be found on Amazon and if you want to check them out over there just click the photos below. **As an Amazon Associate I may earn from qualifying purchases.

The ear warmers are worked in the round from the bottom up and when making the color changes I just carry the yarn instead of clipping it. To change colors pull the new color through the loop on hook and that is the ch 1 used to begin the round.

This pattern is specified for advanced beginner crocheters due to working in the round and color changes, but I think an adventurous new beginner can easily take on this pattern. Undeniably, with just a little bit of practice, you can learn how to master the basic 2 row repeat which consists of the simple single crochet and double crochet stitches.
