✨ Inspiration Behind the Design
I have always loved flowers, and after releasing the SASSy Sunflower designs, it felt only natural to add a few sweet daisy designs to the SASS Crochet home decor line.
The Darling Daisy Coaster actually started as an idea last spring, but I ran out of time before I could add the finishing touches. Looking back, I’m glad I set it aside for a little while. When I came back to the design this year, the pieces came together quickly, and the finished coaster turned out even better than my original idea.
This farmhouse-style crochet coaster is cheerful, textured, and full of handmade charm. It makes a lovely addition to spring home decor, gift baskets, market tables, or any cozy corner that could use a little daisy-inspired beauty.

Design Details
The Darling Daisy Coasters are designed using #4 worsted weight cotton yarn. They look great when made with acrylic yarn, but, cotton absorbs moisture from cups more effectively, which helps to protect tabletops a little better.
The coasters are worked in the round using single crochet and half double crochet stitches. I’ve also incorporated working in the 3rd loop and the Popcorn stitch on a couple of rounds.
The petals are so sweet looking and they work up very quickly by easily using basic chain and slip stitches.

- Worsted weight #4 cotton yarn – This pattern was designed with Dishie cotton yarn by WeCrochet in White and Bumblebee.
- Approximately 30 yards total
- 3.75 mm (F) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Instructions
With yellow yarn (or color of choice)
MC, ch 1
Rnd 1:
10 hdc in MC. (10 hdc)
Rnd 2:
sc in each st around.
Rnd 3:
2 hdc in each st around. (20 hdc)
Rnd 4:
*sc inc, 1 sc in next st, rep from * around. (30 sc)
Rnd 5:
*hdc inc, hdc in next 2, rep from * around. (40 hdc)
Rnd 6:
*sc inc, sc in next 3, rep from * around, sl st to join to 1st sc, ch 1. (50 sc)
Rnd 7:
*sc in next 4, PC, rep from * around, sl st to join to 1st sc, ch 1. (10 PC, 40 sc)
Petals
With white yarn (or color of choice)
Rnd 8:
*sc3l inc, sc3l in next 4, rep from * around, sl st to join to 1st sc. (60 sc)
Rnd 9:
*ch 7, sl st in beginning sc (this makes a loop), working around the loop, turn the coaster to sl st in the first 3 ch of loop, in 4th ch [sl st, (ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook), sl st], sl st in next 3 ch, sl st in beginning sc, on Rnd 8, sk a st, sl st in next 2 rep * around until 2 st remain, sk st, sl st in last st. (20 Petals)
Finish off and weave in ends.
