Design Details

Candy Corn with face

Are you looking to add a touch of whimsy to your home décor this fall? With just a bit of yarn, stuffing and a 5.00 mm crochet hook, you can craft the coziest Candy Corn characters you can imagine. Using one of my favorite crochet stitches, the Link Stitch, this advanced beginner pattern lets you create huggable cuties in three colors of worsted weight yarn.

This design is worked by creating 2 pyramid shapes with just 2 stitches, an easy single crochet and the Link Stitch, then work a single crochet border around the outer edges to connect the 2 pieces.

It’s adorable as just a Candy Corn but super fun when you add the face along with the arms and legs. Simply attach the eyes and embroider the mouth before connecting the triangles then the arms and legs are part of the border so no sewing required for those.

This new design is a quick project. To craft your own Candy Corn, you’ll need roughly 30 yards of yarn total and, if you want to make a larger version, you can simply work the pattern by holding two strands of yarn at a time and increasing your hook size.

You can view the free version below, but if you prefer the premium ad-free version of the Candy Corn pattern, you can get it for a small cost in any of my shops. The shop links are listed below.

In the premium version, you will receive a beautifully formatted, easy-to-read PDF pattern that includes a detailed photo tutorial for the Link Stitch, as well as notes on how to add eyes, mouth and how to make the arms and legs.
