I’m so excited to share my newest pattern!! Introducing the New Dreamy Days Round Throw Crochet Pattern. This pattern took waaaay longer than anticipated to release, but I couldn’t stop adding to it. With the help of my amazing testers we added several fun border options as well as instructions for 2 different sizes. You can learn to crochet the smaller version of the blanket with the written instructions below.
I love that this unique round throw looks complicated, but it mostly uses simple stitches and actually works up quickly for a blanket.
Inspiration
I don’t know about you, but I can never have enough throw blankets throughout the house so tons of design ideas are always stirring in my mind. Typically I prefer quick makes so I wanted to come up with something that I could complete within a week or so. Well, while working on the SASSy Sunflower Placemat pattern this past summer it occurred to me that the design for those could make a really cute little blanket. And it did!!
The Dreamy Days Round Throw seems to take on a few different looks depending on the color and border you choose. From an English Cottage to a French Country style this sweet throw blanket gives the feeling of beautiful coziness. In my home it coordinates beautifully with my farmhouse look. But, it’s also gorgeous in a more contemporary style home too. Be sure to check out my tester’s photos below to see all the different styles!!
Design Details
The new Dreamy Days Round Throw crochet pattern is so pretty, but it’s also very useful. This blanket is made with super soft, bulky #5 velvet yarn to help make it extra snuggly while not being extremely heavy.
You are sure to have so much fun learning how to crochet the Dreamy Days Round Throw. Just decide which size you want to make, which border you love, then grab a few skeins of #5 bulky velvet yarn and an 8.00 mm (L) hook to create your cozy round throw. Using the Link Stitch and a few basic stitches this pattern works up quickly.
The premium downloadable PDF offers written instructions for 2 blanket sizes. The smaller size is about 44″ across and the larger throw is about 54″. Also, included is a photo tutorial for the Link Stitch, written instructions for 4 border options and a photo tutorial for the twisted fringe border shown in this photo.
