Brand New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020 Roundup!!

It’s Fall, y’all! Halloween is right around the corner, then Thanksgiving will be here before you know it so what better way to decorate for the fall season than with pumpkins, right? Now, I know there are tons of fun crochet pumpkin patterns floating around out there, believe me I’ve made a lot of them. But, I’ve also recently discovered a few brand new ones too. The designs in the New Pumpkin Pattern roundup have just been released this year and I thought that perhaps you haven’t seen them yet soooo I decided to gather these fresh new patterns in one place and share all the goods with you.

Some of these pumpkin patterns are FREE, some are paid BUT they are all great!! I even had the honor of testing one or two of them before they were released. So, without further ado, let’s check out my New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020 Roundup!!

1. The Gourd-geous Pumpkin by Green Fox Farms

First up on the list of awesome New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020 is the Gourd-geous Pumpkin by Lisa at Green Fox Farms. This rustic pumpkin pattern is available in 3 different sizes ~ Small, Medium & Large. I actually tested the large one for her and fell in love. Lisa just released the Gourd-geous Pumpkin pattern this month and it can be found for FREE on her blog. A downloadable PDF copy is also available to purchase in her Etsy & Ravelry shops.

2. The Twisted Country Pumpkin by Twisted Crochet

Peggy at Twisted Crochet released her easy pumpkin design, the Twisted Country Pumpkin in September and it’s a fantastic stash busting pattern. She uses the Alpine stitch and bulky yarn for this beauty to give it loads of texture. You can find the Twisted Pumpkin pattern in Peg’s Ravelry shop.

3. The Pumpkin Messy Bun Beanie by Crafty Kitty Crochet

I absolutely had to add the Pumpkin Messy Bun Beanie to the roundup of New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020. This FREE pattern is a design by Melissa at Crafty Kitty Crochet and it’s a fast and easy pattern that she released in September. She provides instructions for both Adult and Kid’s sizes on her blog.

4. Pumpkin Placemat by Crafty Kitty Crochet

Melissa is a designer on a mission with her pumpkin designs this year, so she made the list twice!! She’s always whipping up such fun patterns and her Pumpkin Placemat is so adorable that I wanted to share this cutie too. It literally just released last week and I can’t wait to make up several of these for myself! You can find this FREE beginner friendly pattern on her blog.

5. Woolly Pumpkin by Woolly Bee Yarn Craft

Next up on the New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020 list is the Woolly Pumpkin pattern by Jenna at Woolly Be YarnCraft. This is a beginner friendly pattern that requires DK weight yarn and it includes photos and instructions on how to make 2 different sizes. Jenna offers the Woolly Pumpkin pattern on Etsy and Love Crafts.

6. Pumpkin Wine Glass Cozy by Spotted Horse Design Co.

Okay! Okay! Y’all know how I love my wine so you can imagine how excited I was to see this fabulous Pumpkin Wine Glass Cozy pattern when it was released a few weeks ago. Christine over at Spotted Horse Design Co. designed this beginner friendly, versatile pattern that you can easily size to fit your favorite wine glass, tumbler or beer bottle/can. There’s a full photo tutorial included and it uses worsted weight cotton yarn. This charming pattern is available in Christine’s Etsy shop.

7. Farmhouse Pumpkin Coaster by Spotted Horse Design Co.

Christine is on fire with her pumpkin patterns too, so like Melissa at Crafty Kitty Crochet she has 2 patterns on the New Pumpkin Patterns List. And, I was delighted to have the opportunity to test this charming Farmhouse Pumpkin Coaster pattern for her. Using #4 cotton yarn these advanced beginner coasters whip up pretty quickly. Since it just released a couple of days ago you’ll definitely want to head over to her Etsy shop and check it out.

8. Lil Crochet Jack-O-Lantern by Sweet Bee Crochet

How sweet is this newly released Lil Jack-O-Lantern ornament by Rebecca at Sweet Bee Crochet? This design is so simple and cute, I just had to add it to the roundup of New Crochet Pumpkin Patterns ~ 2020. It’s a perfect stash busting project that uses worsted weight yarn, fits in the palm of your hand and works up in no time at all. Rebecca offers this adorable pattern which includes a photo tutorial for FREE on her blog.

9. Knotty Punkin’ by SASS

The Knotty Punkin is designed by this girl right here!! YAY!! I’m so excited to share this pattern with y’all. I just started writing and releasing my patterns in January and the Knotty Punkin’ is my 6th pattern release. This pumpkin is beginner friendly and is worked flat. If you’ve made one of my SASSy Baby Blankets then you might recognize that it’s simply one of the blocks designed for the blankets. The Popcorn Stitch is used for the knots and best of all it’s FREE here on the blog.

10. The Evelyn Pumpkin Pattern by Sunshine Daisies 7 Crochet

Is it crochet or knit? Tiffany over at Sunshine & Daisies just released this beautiful pumpkin pattern in September. She designed the crocheted Evelyn Pumpkin to have a knit look and the pattern includes 3 sizes. If you love this pretty pumpkin pattern it is available in Tiffany’s Etsy shop.

11. Wide-Ribbed Pumpkin by Crafting Each Day

Oh my word! The Wide Ribbed Pumpkin by Crafting Each Day is just darling. I’m so excited to have Suzanne’s new rustic farmhouse style pumpkin pattern included in the Pumpkin Pattern 2020 roundup. This chunky cutie released a few days ago and it is FREE on the Crafting Each Day blog. This pumpkin works up super fast using chunky yarn and a size N hook.

12. Granite Gourd by Twist & Loop Studio

Last but definitely not least we get to discover more about the Granite Gourd by Beth at Twist & Loop Studio. This is an absolutely stunning design that was released this month, just in time to make a few for the fall season. The Granite Gourd is an intermediate pattern that is self-shaping as the ribs are built in. Simply stuff and close it up and you’re done!!
