🏕️ Booth Setup Essentials
The foundation of your craft fair booth starts with your basic setup. Having the right pieces in place makes everything else easier—from displaying your products to staying organized throughout the day.
The first thing you’ll need is a reliable canopy tent, especially for outdoor markets. This gives you shade, protection from the weather, and helps define your booth space. Just as important are canopy weights—these are something you don’t want to skip. Even on days that don’t seem windy, having your tent properly secured is a must for safety and peace of mind.
You’ll also need a sturdy table for displaying your items. This is where most of your products will be displayed, so having a table that’s stable, easy to transport, and quick to set up makes a big difference.
For table coverings, I like to keep things simple and practical. I personally use painter’s cloths as my table covers—they’re affordable, durable, and give a really nice clean, neutral look that fits well with a handmade setup.

I like to have multiple payment options available so I’m not limited to just cash. Using a card reader allows customers to quickly pay with a card or their phone, which is especially helpful since a lot of people don’t carry cash anymore.
At the same time, it’s still important to have a simple cash setup. A small cash box with organized sections makes it easy to handle change and keeps everything secure throughout the day.
Another helpful option is having a QR code available that links directly to your shop, website, social media, or digital pattern listings. This gives customers another easy way to purchase or connect with you, even if they’re not ready to buy right away.
The easier you make it for someone to pay, the more likely they are to follow through with a purchase.
