Serenity Wrap Crochet Pattern | SASS Crochet
Hi everybody! I’m so excited to finally share a project that has been especially close to my heart. The Serenity Wrap is a crochet design rooted in calm, intention, and thoughtful stitches—and it was created as a beautiful collaboration with Rena’s Thread and Crafts. Designed to be a relaxing make, this wrap is a project you can settle into and enjoy. It’s perfect for quiet evenings and those moments when you want to slow things down.

Designing pieces that encourage peace and creativity is one of my favorite parts of my crochet journey, and the Serenity Wrap reflects that intention from start to finish. Collaborating with Rena’s Thread and Crafts made this design even more special. Her yarn’s beautiful texture and drape helped guide the flow of the stitches and the overall feel of the wrap. This is the kind of project meant to be enjoyed at an easy pace, whether you’re crocheting in the quiet of the evening or during a slow moment when the house finally settles.
“Every stitch is a small act of slowing down, a reminder that creating something by hand can be just as comforting as the finished piece—like sitting a while, breathing deep, and realizing the laundry can wait while you finish just one more row.”
~ Angela Dooley
Inspiration
The inspiration for the Serenity Wrap came from wanting to slow things down and create a piece that feels just as peaceful to make as it does to wear. I wanted a design with gentle movement and an easy rhythm. It’s something you can pick up at the end of the day and enjoy without having to think too hard about every stitch.
When I started working with Rena’s Thread and Crafts yarn, the direction of the design became even clearer. The softness and drape of her yarn helped guide the flow of the stitches and really shaped how the wrap came together. Everything about it felt natural and unhurried, which is exactly the feeling I hoped to capture with this design.

Serenity Wrap Crochet Pattern Design Details
For the Serenity Wrap, I wanted a design that felt relaxed from the very first stitch. This wrap is made using yarn from Rena’s Thread and Crafts, and the softness and drape of her yarn play a big role in how the fabric comes together. It’s the kind of project that flows easily, making it perfect for crocheting at an unhurried pace.
The wrap is worked in one piece using a simple, repeating stitch pattern that’s easy to settle into. With basic stitches and a steady rhythm, this design is meant to be enjoyable rather than rushed. Full yarn details, hook size, and complete instructions for the free Serenity Wrap pattern can be found on Rena’s Thread and Crafts blog.

Yarn Info!
For the Serenity Wrap, I used Mystical Forest 8-ply Cotton Fingering Weight yarn from Rena’s Thread and Crafts. The softness and beautiful drape of this yarn played a big role in how the wrap came together. The color variation added just the right amount of visual interest without taking away from the simplicity of the stitch pattern.
The Serenity Wrap was designed specifically with this yarn in mind, and the full yarn details, along with the free pattern, can be found on Rena’s Thread and Crafts blog.
One of my testers also created a stunning version of the Serenity Wrap using Stained Glass V1 Inspired Gradient Cotton Natural Fiber Yarn – 8-ply Cotton Fingering Weight, which is another beautiful option if you enjoy seeing how the design works up in different colorways. You can check out her wrap below for even more inspiration.
