Inspiration

Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to design patterns and now that it’s here I’m so excited to share another super cute flower pattern that I’ve been working on. Being the 6th design in our Daisy collection, the Darling Daisy Bookmark lives up to your expectations, keeping the charm and style while being easy to make.

This original design combines the cuteness of a blooming daisy with the practicality of a bookmark, making it a great gift for any book lover or a chic addition to your bookmark collection.

I’ve had this pattern tucked away for quite a while and I’m so excited to finally be able to share it. While working on my first daisy pattern back in 2022, the Darling Daisy Coaster, I’ve had a list of other daisy ideas on my handy little list which I’m working on bringing to life too. So if you love all the cute, colorful Springy flower patterns stay tuned!

Design Details

I know this is often said about crochet patterns but, seriously, this is the perfect stash busting project and I love that they can be made with any brand of worsted weight yarn. You only need about 13 yards to make one bookmark and you can whip up several in no time at all.

I’m also so excited at how versatile this pattern is! It not only makes the cutest bookmark, but it makes a really sweet keyring or even earrings.

The flower centers are worked in round using the sc3l stitch. Then you continue by adding the petals using simple chain, single crochet and slip stitches. The stem is then joined to the bottom of the flower and it’s an easy chain ending with the leaf which is made up of quick single, half double and double crochet stitches.

This crochet pattern is so easy to customize with the endless color options that are available in worsted weight yarn. I used scrap yarn that I had on hand so it’s a variety from several yarn sources. The yellow is Impeccable Solid Yarn by Loops and Threads in Butterscotch, then the green is Red Heart Super Saver in Spring Green and for the White I used I Love This Yarn.

My testers used a variety of different colored yarns for their daisies so be sure to check out their bookmarks below for all kinds of inspo.

Some of the yarns that were used to make my bookmark can be found on Amazon and if you want to check them out over there just click the photos below. **As an Amazon Associate I may earn from qualifying purchases.
