Inspiration
Like the other Darling Daisy crochet patterns in the collection, when I started releasing the SASSy Sunflower collection last year I was inspired to add a set of daisy designs to the SASS home decor line too.
Once I started designing the first pattern, the Darling Daisy Coaster, more daisy ideas just kept coming which brings us to the wine glass cozy!!
If you’ve made the placemats already and love the texture of it then you are going to definitely fall in love with the amazing texture of this cute little cozy.
Design Details for the Darling Daisy Wine Glass Cozy
The Darling Daisy Wine Glass Cozy is sized to fit your stemmed wine glasses. They are designed with #4 cotton yarn but they are just as fabulous when using acrylic yarn too. I do recommend cotton yarn though as it absorbs moisture a little bit better.
Just like the coasters and placemats, the cozies are worked in the round using single crochet and half double crochet in the 3rd loop only stitch. This combination of stitches can be tricky if your tension is too tight so keep an eye on that but, the texture we get makes it worth it.
The daisy like petals are created the same way as the other 2 patterns and they’re super easy to make. By using basic chain and slip stitches they work up pretty quickly.
