Design Details

These eco-friendly cozies are designed using #4 cotton yarn. With only 16 Rounds they work up super quickly and look absolutely adorable in almost any color combination.

This advanced beginner cozy is a one piece design worked in the round. You work from the bottom up using mostly basic sc and hdc stitches. Each of the “spots” are made using the Popcorn Stitch which offers adorable texture.

The eyes are optional. They are easy to make and attach if you choose to add them. You just need a 1.30 mm hook and some crochet thread.

The new Ladybug Wine Glass Cozy is a quick project, so get your 4.00 mm (G) hooks ready along with a small amount of cotton yarn to start creating these cute cozies.

Pattern Notes

* Advanced beginner pattern.

** Written in US crochet terms.

* Finished size: About 5.25” across x 4.25” tall; Fits glasses that measure about 11” around, at the widest part of the glass.

** Gauge: Rnds 1 – 7 = 2”, 8 hdc = 2”.

* The ch stitch at the beginning of a rnd does not count as a stitch. Always place 1st stitch of each rnd in same stitch as beginning chain unless stated otherwise.

** St count is only listed on each rnd when there is a change.

* The cozy is worked in the round from the bottom up.

** When working the PS Rnds, I carry the red yarn but clip the black yarn after each PS as it shows through when the cozy is on the glass.

* Color changes:
1. For sc color changes, work pattern as instructed and on the last sc before the color change, stop before the last yarn over. Pick up the alternate color and complete the st.

2. To complete the PS and change back to the main color, begin working the 4th sc, stop before the last yarn over, pull the new color through.
