Introducing my new Witches Broom Bunting pattern! Who loves decorating for the Halloween season as much as I do? I hope that you do because I’ve had so much fun designing this new crochet pattern. Like the Wicked Witch Hat Bunting it’s super cute and made with small amounts of scrap yarn.
This easy crochet pattern is designed as a hanging bunting decoration but, it’s super cute when used in other fun ways. For instance, make individual brooms and hang as an ornament. Or, you could add them to your table setting decor with name tags on them. Anything goes with this pattern, they even make cute earrings!
Inspiration For The Witches Broom Bunting
I can’t take all of the credit for this spooky little pattern. While my Wicked Witch Hat Bunting pattern was in testing one of the testers son’s let me know that “I should make a broom. You can’t have a witch hat without a broom.” Of course he’s right!! So, I started designing and he approved of these spooktacular little broomsticks.
They look so cute when made with just the broomsticks, but, they’re absolutely adorable when combined with the witch hats too. Don’t you think so?
This enchanting new Witches Broom Bunting pattern is the perfect spooky project this Halloween season if you like quick and easy projects.
Design Details
The Witches Broom Bunting pattern is designed using a 4.00 mm (G) crochet hook and about 5 yards of #4 worsted weight yarn per broom. You also need a yarn needle to attach the bristles to the end of the broomstick.
These brooms are easily customizable. Grab some thread and a coordinating hook to make earrings or make several individual broomsticks and use them as ornaments, the ideas are endless.
The broomsticks are super quick as there are only 3 rows to complete the sticks. Then the bristles are fed through one end of the broomstick and tied off with another strand of yarn.
I know you’re ready to get to it so scroll down and check out the FREE version of the pattern now. If you prefer the premium, ad-free version of the Witches Broom Bunting you can grab it for a small cost in either of my shops.
The detailed, paid PDF includes the written instructions which helps you to crochet the broomsticks together with a chain and it also offers help on how to string them onto jute. There’s a photo tutorial too, showing how to make the broomsticks, where to feed the bristles through & how to attach the bow on the bristles.
