Close up Witch Hat Bunting

It’s too cute to say it’s made with scrap yarn, but, it is! By using your favorite stash of any #4 worsted weight yarn you can decorate this Halloween season with my new Wicked Witch Hat Bunting pattern.

This is a super quick, super easy pattern that can be used in so many fun ways. Make it as a bunting decoration to hang across your fireplace, use each hat individually as an ornament or you could also put little name tags on them and add them to your table setting decor. There are no rules with this pattern!

Inspiration For The Wicked Witch Hat Bunting

Fall, Halloween, Christmas…literally all of these seasons or holidays are my inspiration when it comes to new designs. The new Wicked Witch Hat Bunting Pattern is one of those designs that just happened though!

You may even recognize these. They are a variation of the stem design on my Mini Country Pumpkin and Spicewood Pumpkin crochet patterns. I just changed a couple of things and ta-da we have the cutest little witch hat!!

By the way, have you made the Mini Country Pumpkin or Spicewood Pumpkins yet? Both patterns are free right here on the blog.

This delightful new Wicked Witch Hat Bunting pattern is the perfect make when you’re looking for a speedy project this Halloween season.

Design Details

The Wicked Witch Hat Bunting pattern is designed using any #4 worsted weight yarn and a 5.00 mm (H) crochet hook. You also need a yarn needle to weave a strand of yarn around the brim for the cute little bow.

This crochet pattern is completely customizable with the endless color options to the many different uses of the hats. They even make the most adorable earrings!!

The hats are made in one piece by crocheting the top of the hat in rows with a variation of basic stitches. Then you single crochet the brim in the round.

If you’re ready to get started just scroll down and check out the FREE version of the pattern. You can also grab the premium, ad-free version of the Wicked Witch Hat Bunting for a small cost in either of my shops.

The paid PDF includes the written instructions which helps you to crochet the hats together with a chain and it also offers help on how to string them onto jute. There’s a photo tutorial too, showing how to make the hats, where to weave in the yarn for the bow & how to connect them with the chain stitch.
