Merry Mug Rug featured pattern

The New Merry Mug Rug Crochet Pattern is the perfect addition to your holiday decor!! The mug rug is larger than a standard coaster so that there’s enough room to hold a cup of coffee or tea and a snack! This is a fun crochet pattern that has now been added to our SASS pattern collection. It is an intermediate project that is full of texture and works up very quickly.

Inspiration

I love creating and making small home decor items. While working on the Candy Corn Coaster I got the brilliant idea to design a Christmas tree coaster. It took a couple of tries to get the design just how I wanted it, but I couldn’t be more pleased with how the Merry Mug Rug turned out.

Merry Mug Rug White or Green

The new Merry Mug Rug Crochet Pattern is a perfect make for the holiday season and it looks beautiful in so many color combinations. The prototypes shown here were made with Dishie Yarn gifted to me by WeCrochet as a participant in the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop by Susanna at Fosbas Designs.

Most of my patterns are labeled beginner or advanced beginner. The Merry Mug Rug pattern is, however classified as intermediate due to the color changes that are needed for the “ornaments” and the topper.

Crocheting these Merry Mug Rugs is so fun. You’ll need #4 cotton yarn in green, red, white and silver along with a 3.75 mm (F) hook to make a few sets of these. They work up pretty quickly once you have the Link Stitch down and I also incorporated the Popcorn stitch for cute texture on the edges. Included with the premium PDF download is the written instructions and a photo tutorial for the Link Stitch.

Where To Get The Merry Mug Rug Pattern?
