Inspiration
The new CrissCross Chunky Ear Warmer pattern is designed to coordinate perfectly with the CrissCross Chunky Scarf. While designing the scarf it occurred to me that an ear warmer using the basics of the crisscross design would not only look adorable but would be so warm. Being in Texas there are days that are really chilly and you want to cover your ears, but don’t really need a heavy beanie so the CrissCross Chunky Ear Warmer seemed like the perfect addition to the CrissCross Chunky design series.

Design Details
The CrissCross Chunky Ear Warmer uses bulky #5 yarn like the CrissCross Scarf and there are only 9 quick rounds to complete your super cozy ear warmer. These look fabulous using one color of yarn, but you can also combine 2 different colors for an even more amazing one of a kind ear warmer.
The ear warmer is designed in 2 sizes; S/M & M/L. The M/L is sized for my friends with lots of hair and who need a slightly larger ear warmer to fit more comfortably. You only need 45-50 yards of yarn and a 6.50 mm (K) hook to make one of these pretty ear warmers!

Instructions
Rnd 1:
52 (58) fsc, slst to join to 1st fsc making sure not to twist the ch, ch 1. [52 fsc (58)]
Rnd 2:
sc, *ch1, sk st, sc in next st*, rep *-* around, ch 1, slst to join to 1st sc, ch 2. [26 sc (29)]
Rnd 3:
sc in 1st ch sp, *ch 1, sk st, sc in next ch sp*, rep *-* around, do not ch after last sc, slst to join to top of ch 2, ch 1.
Rnd 4:
sc in each st and each ch sp around, slst to join to 1st sc, ch 1. [52 sc (58)]
Rnd 5:
sc in each st around, slst to join to 1st sc, ch 9.
Rnd 6:
slst in 3rd sc, slst in next st, *ch 9, sk st, slst in next 2 st*; rep *-* around. [17 loops (19)]
NOTE: For rnd 7, twist each loop to the right 1 time. There will be 3 sc in the top of each loop when finished.
Rnd 7:
slst in first 3 chs of 1st loop, (Continue to next loop, we will complete the twist on the 1st loop at the of the Rnd.) *twist next loop, counting from the left side of the loop, sc in 4th, 5th & 6th ch of loop*, rep *-* around, twist 1st loop, sc in 4th, 5th & 6th ch of loop, slst to join to 1st sc, ch 1. Rnd 8:
