New FREE crochet pattern! Today we present the new Sunflower Stemless Wine Glass Cozy. This third sunflower themed crochet pattern has now been added to the SASS wine decor collection. And, it too is a perfect match to the Sunflower Wine Glass Cozy and the Sunflower Wine Bottle Cover patterns that were introduced over the last couple of weeks!! Even though this is the final pattern of the Sunflower Wine Decor series stay tuned, there are a couple more sunflower designs in the works here at SASS.
Inspiration
Just like the other 2 Sunflower patterns in this fun series the inspiration comes from the Sunflower Afghan pattern designed by Crafty Kitty Crochet. It’s so exciting that this beautiful afghan pattern helped pave the way and bring these 3 Sunflower designs to life. Combining both, cheerful sunflowers and relaxing wine, only seemed like the perfect idea.
Design Details
The Sunflower Stemless Wine Glass Cozy is so charming and fun! Like the 2 previous patterns this one is cheerful and bright just like the beautiful sunflowers that grow out on the countryside. This third creation is also an advanced beginner design because of the different stitches that are used like the Popcorn stitch. I just love using that stitch to obtain such fabulous texture! If you’ve not worked with the Popcorn stitch before it’s super fun. I’ve also included a photo tutorial with the downloadable PDF.
The Sunflower Stemless Wine Glass Cozy is designed to be a quick and easy make. In fact, there are only 13 rounds to do and your cozy is all finished. By using #4 cotton yarn and a 3.75mm (F) hook you can whip up quite a few cozies in no time.

- Medium #4 yarn (I use cotton ~ I Love This Cotton) brown and yellow
- Approximately 30 yards of brown & 15 yards of yellow
- 3.75mm (F)

- Finished size: About 4.75” across x 4” tall; Fits glasses that measure about 11” around the widest part of the glass
