FREE Crochet Pattern
Crochet a “WINE TIME” Wine Bottle Sweater to match the “WINE TIME” Stemless Glass Sweater! Like the “WINE TIME” Stemless Glass Sweater, this is an intermediate level pattern that works up rather quickly. And, I’m happy to be offering the basic version of this stylish pattern here on the blog for FREE!
Design Details
This farmhouse chic wine bottle sweater was designed to match the “WINE TIME” Stemless Glass Sweater and it too uses lightweight cotton yarn and a 3.75mm (F) hook. There are only 23 rounds to complete and you then have a trendy wine bottle cozy.
I’m so excited to share that this pattern design is a bit different from most wine bottle covers. Instead of inserting the bottle into a sock like cozy the sweater easily slips down over the top of a bottle. However, since many bottles are available in different sizes the sweater may not reach the bottom on some. But this is great! As one of my testers mentioned, it then fits like “a little dress for your wine” which got me to thinking. Let’s accessorize the sweaters!! So, I decided to add some of my accessorizing ideas to the paid detailed version of the pattern.
Accessorize your sweaters!!
Although I’ve added a few of my tips on how to accessorize your sweaters the possibilities are endless. I’ve added wooden beads to some, used jute as a bow and so on. I can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you when dressing up your sweaters!!
Just like the stemless glass sweater design, the Link Stitch is used in this pattern. And, the SC decrease stitch is used for the bottle sweater as well. So, if you know how to do these two stitches, then you’re good to go. You will be able to utilize the FREE pattern below to make your wine bottle cozies. No problem if not, I do offer written instructions and a photo tutorial in the paid detailed version. In addition, I offer my TIPS on “How to Dress Up” your wine bottle sweaters in the detailed PDF too.
