Merry Mug Rug Crochet Pattern

The Merry Mug Rug Crochet Pattern is a fun intermediate design that is full of texture. It is worked in rows and they work up pretty quickly once you have the Link Stitch down. Also, I incorporated the Popcorn stitch for cute texture on the edges. You need to know how to make color changes for this pattern.

This fun Mug Rug is larger than a standard coaster so, there’s enough room to hold a cup of coffee or tea and a yummy snack!

1. Medium #4 Cotton yarn (Knit Picks • We Crochet Dishie Yarn in Jalapeno, Coffee, Fiesta Red, Silver, White)

2. 5 yards Red, 4 yards each of Silver & White, 3 yards Coffee, 40 yards Jalapeño

3. 3.75 mm (F) 

4. Yarn Needle

Finished size: 6” at the widest point across the bottom x 8” tall from top of star to bottom of stump
