Inspiration
Inspired by rustic charm and memories of big family meals, the Farmhouse Pumpkin Table Runner crochet pattern invites you to create a timeless accent for your fall home decor. This farmhouse-stylecrochet pattern combines cozy textures and classic autumn colors, making it a beautiful addition to any Thanksgiving or harvest table setting.
I first came up with this pumpkin crochet design while working on my Farmhouse Pumpkin Placemat pattern, but time got away from me and I never finished it—until now! I’m so excited to finally share this fall table runner crochet pattern with y’all.
When Sandra over at Sandra Stitches invited me to participate in the 2025 Table Decor with a Story Blog Hop I knew that this project was perfect for this cozy event.

Design Details
For this project you can use any worsted weight yarn. I do recommend cotton yarn and I used We Crochet Dishie Cotton for the table runner shown throughout the post. It works up easily and is designed to be 72″ long but you can easily make it shorter to fit any table or countertop. You will need a little over 1,000 yards of yarn and your favorite 4.00mm hook to make this beautiful runner in the 72″ length.

🧡🤍🧡🤍🧡🤍🧡
The runner is made in two pieces and the panels are seamed together with a simple single crochet stitch. Beginning at the bottom of the panel and working the two rows of pumpkins you then continue to work the Crossed Double Crochet Stitch in rows until you reach the desired length for your tabletop.
Yarn Info!
The Farmhouse Pumpkin Table Runner shown throughout is made with We Crochet – Dishie: Jalapeño, Clementine and Linen.
These yarns can be found on Amazon or Crochet.com and if you want to check them out over on either site just click the photos below. **As an Associate with them I may earn from qualifying purchases.

With so many gorgeous shades of worsted weight yarn to choose from, you can create a fall crochet table runner in any color combination that matches your farmhouse decor or personal style.

Farmhouse Pumpkin Table Runner Crochet Pattern
What you will need for the Farmhouse Pumpkin Table Runner crochet pattern
- Worsted weight (#4) yarn in three colors (I used cotton yarn – We Crochet Dishie in Linen, Jalapeño, and Clementine)
- MC 965 yds; Pumpkins = 70 yds; Stems = 10 yds
- 4.00 mm (G) hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Pattern Notes
* Advanced beginner pattern.
** Written in US crochet terms.
* Finished size: 13″ wide x 72″ long.
** Gauge: 7.5 dc x Rows 1 – 4 = 2″
* Chain stitch at the beginning of rnd does not count as a stitch.
** Stitch count is only listed on each round when there is a change.
* To change colors do not complete st. Leave 2 loops on hook, yarn over with new color and pull through 2 loops on hook.
** This pattern is designed for a 72″ runner but you can easily shorten it by repeating Rows 6 & 7 to desired length.
* I do not carry my yarn when making color changes. I do choose to clip the yarn after making each pumpkin and stem.
Stitch Key
BLO = Back Loop Only
CC1 = first contrasting color. For the pumpkins.
CC2 = second contrasting color. For the stems.
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
FLO = Front Loop Only
FSC = Foundation Single Crochet
MC = Magic Color
rep = repeat
sc = single crochet
st/sts = stitch/stitches
tr bbl/bbls = treble bobble/bobbles
yo = yarn over
Making Pumpkins Tutorial – *Uses the tr bbl/bbls stitch
1: Change to CC1.
2: Yo twice, insert hook into st, yo, pull up a loop, yo, draw through first two loops on hook, yo draw through next two loops on hook. (Two loops remaining on hook.)
3: Repeat this process four more times. You should now have six loops on your hook.
4: Change back to main color to draw loop through all 6 loops on hook. You will not ‘close’ the bobble by chaining 1 (some patterns call for this). Simply move on to the next stitch.
Making Stems Tutorial
1: Change to CC2 the same as when working the pumpkins.
2: Yo, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yo, insert hook into same st and draw up another loop. You should now have 5 loops on your hook.
3: Change back to main color to draw loop through all 5 loops on hook.
