Here’s your perfect quick project – the SASSy Swirls Cowl features a playful swirly texture achieved through the combination of hdc and fpdc stitches. The lightweight yarn offers just the right warmth making it making it perfect for those cool fall days or mild winter temps.

It’s an advanced beginner-friendly pattern and is designed with Hobbii Kindfeather DK, lightweight yarn. This 19-round pattern requires only about 160 yards of yarn. It’s perfect for a fast, simple project that will keep you warm all autumn long.

What you will need for the SASSy Swirls Cowl crochet pattern

  1. Lightweight, (#3) yarn. This pattern is designed using Hobbii Kind Feather yarn in Cognac (24) and Off White (02)
  2. 161 yds, (73 yds CC, 88 yds MC)
  3. 4.00 mm (G) hook
  4. Yarn needle
  5. Scissors

Pattern Notes

* Advanced beginner pattern

** Written in US crochet terms

* Finished size: 5.5″ x 11.5″. Measured flat.

** Gauge: Gauge: 7.5 sts worked in pattern x 6 Rnds = 2″.

* The cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up.

** Stitch count is only listed on each round or row when there is a change.

* Chain stitch at the beginning of each round or row does not count as a stitch.

** When changing colors, I do not clip the Main Color. I drop the Main Color and pick
up the next color. I clip the Contrasting Color after completing that Rnd.

* Do not turn after any round.

With Main Color (Cognac)

*hdc in next 4, FPDC ; rep from * around, slst to join to 1st hdc, ch 1.

With Contrasting Color (Off white)

*sc in next 4, FPHDC; rep from *around, slst to join to 1st sc, ch 1.
