I’m so excited to share the new Darling Daisy Wine Bottle Cozy! This pattern is the 4th in the collection and features amazing texture with the added leaves and the beautiful daisy like petals. The wine bottle cozies are worked in the round using several different easy stitches. They take a little more time to work up than the wine glass cozy but the result makes it worth the effort.
Inspiration
What can I say! I just love flowers and they inspire a lot of my designs lately. This daisy design is so fun to make and the ideas for this set seem to be endless.
Unfortunately with Fall upon us I have to focus on a few other designs and put the next group of Darling Daisy patterns on hold for a bit. Stay tuned though, I have several ideas brewing that I think you’re going to love!!
This stylish new Darling Daisy Wine Bottle Cozy is so happy and is perfect to brighten up your home decor or for gifting. If you love making the other Darling Daisy crochet patterns then you’ll love making these wine bottle cozies.
Design Details
The Darling Daisy Wine Bottle Cozy is designed using #4 worsted weight cotton yarn. They work up fabulously when made with acrylic yarn too.
The cozies are worked in the round using mostly double crochet and front post treble crochet stitches. I then designed the leaves by working several stitches around the front post treble stitch on the previous round.
The unique petals are the same design that’s used on the other patterns and they work up very quickly.

The PDF includes the written instructions and 3 photo tutorials: one showing how to make the leaves, another showing how to work the rounds following rounds with leaves and also, how to crochet the petals.

Finish off and weave in ends.
NOTE: So that the leaves are staggered a bit I like to put the cover on my wine bottle and give it a little twist. Just grab under the petals and then hold around the first round near the bottom at the same time and then slightly twist in opposite directions! Ta-da, your leaves should now be in a staggered pattern and look fabulous!!
Strap/Handles
With Curry yarn
Make a Romanian cord about 26” long. Finish off leaving a long tail, about 24” long. Weave the cord in and out of the ch spaces on Rnd 27. Next, thread yarn needle with long tail then whip stitch both ends of the strap together.
Weave in ends.
Finishing
From inside of cozy, gently pull up the strap on each side.
