Inspiration
Created from my love for heart shaped patterns and the Waistcoat stitch, the Love Forever Ear Warmer crochet pattern is the perfect quick project for Valentine’s Day. This heart ear warmer came about while I was designing the Love Forever Beanie pattern, and it also features the cutest heart shapes that wrap all the way around.

Design Details
Designed with I Love This Yarn, a #4 worsted weight yarn and 2 hooks; a 4.00mm (G) hook for the ribbing & 5.5mm (I) hook for the body. One of the cool things is, you only need about 100 yards to make one ear warmer, and I can whip on up in just a couple of hours.
With the endless color options that are available in worsted weight yarn this crochet pattern is really easy to customize. The ear warmer shown above from Stacy is made with Red Heart in white and the variagated is Mainstays. I used I Love This Yarn in White and Gray Mist which is shown in the photo at the beginning of the article.

The Love Forever ear warmers are worked in the round from the bottom up and when making the color changes I just carry the yarn instead of clipping it. To change colors finish the stitch then pull the new color through the loop on hook and that is the ch 1 used to begin the round.
This is an intermediate pattern due to the Waistcoast stitch which requires practice in order to get the tension just right and the color changes. I think an adventurous beginner can easily take on this pattern if they have a good understanding of keeping their tension loose. With a little practice, most can definitely master this pattern!

Love Forever Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern
What you will need to learn to crochet the cutest Love Forever Ear Warmer
- Worsted weight, (#4) yarn – Designed with I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby
- 97 yds: Color A = main color: 45 yds, Color B = ribbing & hearts: 52 yds
- 4.00 mm (G) hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Pattern Notes for the Love Forever Ear Warmer Pattern
* Intermediate pattern.
** Written in US crochet terms.
* Finished size: When laid flat, 10″ across x 4.25″ tall.
** Gauge: 7 Wc x 9 Rnds = 2″.
* Chain stitch at the beginning of Rnd does not count as a stitch.
** Try to work the Wc loosely and tip your hook up so that the 2nd loop is slightly higher than the 1st loop on hook. The Wc tends to tighten up which will make crocheting into the previous Rnd difficult.
* Previous experience with colorwork is helpful but definitely not required. I used a combination of tapestry and intarsia crochet. Be sure to leave slack in the carried yarn.
** Each square on the chart counts as one st.
* Right side is always facing you and all tails should be on the wrong side (inside of ear warmer) of your work.
** Do not turn after any Rnd.
