The new CrissCross Chunky Cowl pattern is now available! This is the third pattern in the CrissCross Chunky line with several more in the works. Like the scarf and ear warmer the cowl is a quick make and you’ll look super stylish when you pair it with the already released ear warmer. The CrissCross Chunky Cowl is an advanced beginner pattern and is a beautiful, quick project.
Inspiration
The new CrissCross Chunky Cowl pattern is designed to coordinate perfectly with the CrissCross Chunky Ear Warmer and the CrissCross Chunky Beanie that’s coming in January. Although the scarf is so warm and cozy I do love a nice cowl on occasion and so the CrissCross Chunky Cowl was the ideal addition to the CrissCross Chunky line.
If you’re loving this stylish CrissCross design, be sure to stay tuned, I have a matching poncho in the works. There is also a CrissCross Cell Phone Wristlet coming too!
Design Details
The CrissCross Chunky Cowl uses bulky #5 yarn like the other patterns in the CrissCross series and there are only 22 rounds to complete one of these super snuggly cowls. These look fabulous using a solid colored yarn or a variegated yarn, but you can also combine 2 different colors for an even more stunning cowl. The premium PDF offers instructions on making the stripes. It also includes the written instructions as well as a photo tutorial for the unique twisted stitch.
The cowl is designed in the round and works up pretty quickly. You only need 155 yards of yarn and a 6.50 mm (K) hook to make one of these cozy cowls!
Now, just choose whether you will use one color or two different colors of yarn then, check out the FREE version below or grab the inexpensive PDF download in either of my shops. (Links are below.)
