Inspiration
Candy Corn is one of my favorites when it comes to decorating for the Fall season so I decided to create a fun crochet coaster pattern. I do use the Link Stitch in this design, but it has been modified just a bit. So if the Link Stitch interests you and you know how to single crochet, then you can whip up these cuties in no time.
The Candy Corn Coasters are a great Fall make whether you are market prepping or gift giving. Like many SASS crochet designs, these are practical but they are also cute. They’re so charming you may want to make a set for yourself!
Design Details
The Candy Corn Coaster works up very quickly and they are created by using 3 different colors of yarn. I have made several using the classic colors of yellow, orange and white, but they also look amazing in non traditional colors too. Check out this one in brown, orange and white!
Learning how to crochet these Candy Corn Coasters is sure to be tons of fun. All you need is #4 cotton yarn and a 5.00 mm (H) hook to whip up a stack of these useful little coasters. I designed the pattern to use the Reverse Single Crochet/Crab Stitch on the border for added texture, but the premium PDF offers other border options too like how to add this fringe. There is also a photo tutorial of the Link Stitch included in the PDF download.

What you will need for this crochet pattern
- Medium #4 yarn
- Approximately 35 – 40 yards per coaster
- 5.00mm (H)
- Yarn Needle

*With yellow yarn
Ch 19
Row 1:
sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, turn (18 sc)
Row 2:
sc, sc dec, sc in next 12, sc dec, sc, turn, ch 3 (16 sc)
Begin Link Stitch Row
Row 3:
begin first link stitch in 2nd ch from hook, continue down in the 3rd ch and in the 1st sc from the previous row. Work the link stitch in each stitch across the entire row, ch 1, turn (16 link stitches)
Row 4:
sc, sc dec, sc in next 10 st, sc dec, sc, ch 1, turn (14 sc)
Row 5:
sc, sc dec, sc in next 8, sc dec, sc, ch 1, turn (12 sc)
*Join orange yarn
Row 6:
sc in each st across, turn, ch 3 (12 sc)
Row 7:
Link Stitch in each stitch across, ch 1, turn (12 link stitches)
Row 8:
sc, sc dec, sc in next 6, sc dec, sc, ch 1, turn (10 sc)
Row 9:
sc, sc dec, sc in next 4, sc dec, sc, ch 1, turn (8 sc)
*Join white yarn
Row 10:
sc in each st across, turn, ch 3 (8 sc)
Row 11:
Link stitch in each st across, ch 1, turn (8 Link Stitch)
Row 12:
sc, sc dec, sc in the next 2, sc dec, sc, ch 1, turn (6 sc)
Row 13:
sc, sc dec (2 times), sc, ch 1, turn (4 sc)
Row 14:
sc in each st across, ch 1, turn (4 sc)
Row 15:
sc dec (2 times), ch 1, (2 sc)
Border
Evenly RSC around all 3 sides of the coaster. Make sure that the right side is facing you, sl st to join to 1st RSC
Finish off & weave in ends
